Overview
The zone decoder provides a way to interface traditional stereo and 100V line PA systems with the Merlaud IP communicator system. Units will be typically located with the zone audio equipment and connected back to the Merlaud A4865 zone encoder unit using standard UTP Cat6 cabling. When selected, BGM will be muted by PA, bell or emergency tones. A relay will operate on the encoder under these conditions allowing control of volume control relay overrides.

- Converts all system audio singles back to analogue stereo RCA output (or speaker level) for connection to zone PA amp.
- Connects to ethernet switch (and on to paging console and encoder) using UTP Cat6 cabling.
- Versatile design can be used in facilities with multiple buildings.
- Facilitates paging, bell or emergency evacuation tones.
- Allows operation of 100V line override relays for full volume in evacuation conditions.
